Wyeth tablets are not on Brazilian market since 2007

Effexor tablets

I used to take the tablets and all I need is to take them again.
Since October 2007 the tablets are no longer available in Brazilian market.
I was forced to use the XR version.
Side effects got worse and now
I'm feeling dizzy which is the worst of all symptoms and is affecting my life. I've send another e-mail to Wyeth in Brazil with a copy of this e-mail I wrote and Gianna was kind enough to send it for me.
The two versions are available in US, UK, Canada and I believe that in other countries.
I know what's going to happen: nothing. I'm the only one who is complaining and I'm the only one who felt side effects get worse and is feeling these new side effects.
I have no idea how Brazilians are getting off of Effexor XR and I guess I will have to feel this way for the rest of my life.
Who cares about patients?

That's how I got off Effexor one time. I'd break open the capsule, divide up the beads three ways. Take a third a day and if the withdrawal got too bad I'd drop another third, then continue with a third a day again. I think the more severe withdrawal someone goes through the faster it's leaving your system. A person might want to start with a half a day or 3/4 and see if they can tolerate the withdrawal symptoms.

As for ingestion method, if I recall correctly, I put the beads in a cup, filled it with 4-8 ounces of water and drank it.

I'm very confused about it. I have visited "the Effexor Activists" - it's on my blog list - and all the methods they have use the tablets.
All I've searched use the tablets.
I don't know.
I'll check the links tomorrow.
But I believe that there's nothing they can do.
We don't have a good regulatory agency.
They don't listen and people are not used to report.
Thank you Andy.

You can crush the tablets into a powder and divide it. Extended release is hard though, not knowing where the med vs. inactive ingredients are in the pill.

I'm sorry this is so difficult for you. (been there with Prozac, Seroquel, Xanax etc. all awful withdrawals)

I know how to withdraw the tablets.
I've received an e-mail from Wyeth and they did not answer: "Talk to your psychiatrist".
Since the tablets are not on Brazilian market since 2007 I don't know what to do.
Since I was forced to take Effexor XR instead of the tablets I'm feeling terrible.
Being dizzy and is my normal for 9 months.
I wake up dizzy and go to bed dizzy.
I'm sure if I went back to tablets I would be better.
